Wireless M-Bus Mobile Radio + LoRaWAN Metering Gateway

Manufacturer-independent EED complete solution for remote reading of water meters, heat meters and heat cost allocators via Narrowband IoT or LoRaWAN

Vendor-independent smart metering gateway incl. data platform

The Lobaro wireless M-BUS via Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) gateway transmits consumption data from water meters, heat meters and heat cost allocators with 868 MHz radio interface to the Lobaro device platform in encrypted form via LTE mobile radio at low cost. There, all consumption data is available as CSV file download or via e-mail dispatch. Thanks to the modern LTE Narrowband Mobile Communications (NB-IoT) remote reading even works in places like basements where smartphones no longer have reception.

The Lobaro Gateway works with all 868 MHz radio / OMS water meters, heat meters, heat cost allocators or similar from various manufacturers:

  • wireless MBUS S1 & C1 & T1 Mode (868 MHz)
  • EN 13757-4
  • OMS v3 & v4
  • Sensus RF Bubble Up (868 MHz)

Downstream services and billing systems can be accessed via standard APIs (MQTT, REST, HTTP Push) receive the consumption values processed from the Lobaro IoT platform. Direct integration of the bridge without the Lobaro platform is also possible on request.Wireless MBus Gateway Cellular and LoRaWAN

In 3 steps to the consumption meter radio reading

  • 868 MHz wireless M-Bus meter install

  • Mount Lobaro Gateway near the meter ("walk-by distance")

  • Export consumption data from Lobaro platform (CSV or API)

LTE-M NB-IoT
  • Better range than 4G LTE

  • Includes Sim card for 10 years gateway operation in Germany (2MB / month)

  • Lower battery consumption than 4G LTE

  • Network coverage in Germany and Europe
