The Lobaro wireless M-BUS via Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) gateway transmits consumption data from water meters, heat meters and heat cost allocators with an 868 MHz radio interface to the Lobaro device platform in encrypted form via LTE mobile radio at low cost. All consumption data is available there as CSV file download or via e-mail dispatch. Thanks to the modern LTE narrowband mobile communications (NB-IoT) remote reading even works in places such as Kellern, where smartphones no longer have reception.

The Lobaro gateway works with all 868 MHz radio / OMS water meters, heat meters, heat cost allocators or similar from various manufacturers:

Downstream services and billing systems can be connected via standard APIs (MQTT, REST, HTTP push) receive the consumption values processed from the Lobaro IoT platform.   • Install Lobaro gateway close to the meter ("walk-by distance")

  • Export consumption data from Lobaro platform (CSV or API)

  • Better range than 4G LTE

  • Including sim card for 10 years gateway operation in Germany (2MB / month)

  • Lower battery consumption than 4G LTE
