Modules
MQTT Broker
Central messaging gateway for your IoT infrastructure - ready to use out of the box, securely configured and open for existing systems.
📡 Lobaro devices Seamless connection of all Lobaro sensors and gateways. Automatic provisioning and device detection without manual configuration.
🔗 Third-party devices Supports all MQTT-compatible devices and manufacturers. Standard-compliant implementation according to MQTT 3.1.1 and MQTT 5.0.
🌉 Broker bridge Connects the platform to existing MQTT infrastructures (e.g. Mosquitto, HiveMQ, AWS IoT). Lobaro devices that are connected to a third-party broker remain fully manageable - firmware updates and configuration changes are forwarded transparently. Platform data can also be selectively published to external brokers, for example for integration into existing SCADA or backend systems.
🖥️ Web client Integrated browser client for live monitoring of topics, for publishing test messages and for error diagnosis - directly in the browser, no tool download necessary.
🔒 Secure by default TLS encryption and authentication active ex works. Client certificates, username/password and token-based procedures are supported.
🗝️ Access control Fine-grained ACL rules at topic level. Each client only has access to the topics it needs - read and write permissions can be configured separately.
👥 Multi-tenancy Strict separation at topic and authentication level - both between tenants and between individual devices. Each tenant and each device communicates in isolation, without access to external data areas.
📊 Monitoring & Logs Real-time metrics on connected clients, message throughput and connection errors. Complete connection logs for auditing and debugging.
⚙️ Payload processing Incoming messages are automatically parsed, decoded and written to the platform database - no separate data pipeline effort.
✅ MQTT 3.1.1 & 5.0 (Broker) - ✅ WebSocket support - ✅ TLS 1.2/1.3 - ✅ QoS 0/1/2 - ✅ Retained Messages - ✅ Last Will & Testament
M-Bus parser
The Lobaro M-Bus parser decodes M-Bus and wireless M-Bus telegrams directly into human-readable JSON - integrated into your Lobaro environment, without having to send telegrams to a separate service for translation and retrieve them again.
🔍 M-Bus & wM-Bus decoding - Direct evaluation of wired M-Bus and wireless M-Bus telegrams. Supports the EN 13757 specification and OMS for interoperable metering devices.
📄 JSON output - All telegram fields are provided structured and human-readable as JSON - ready for immediate use in your systems, dashboards and integrations.
🖥️ Telegram visualisation - Display of the decoded telegram structure with all data records and measured values - quick insights without specialised knowledge of the binary format.
🔑 Key Management - Management of keys for wireless M-Bus devices. Telegrams are decrypted before they are analysed and stored.
🏭 Broad device compatibility - Compatible with meters and gateways from all common manufacturers - from heat meters and water meters to gas meters and multi-sensors.
✅ EN 13757 (M-Bus) - ✅ OMS - ✅ Wireless M-Bus (wM-Bus) - ✅ AES-128 decryption - ✅ JSON output
