Safety instructions for lithium batteries (EN)

Many Lobaro products contain lithium batteries. This type of battery is classified as dangerous goods. The applicable transport regulations must be observed! The test certificates for the batteries used are available on request.

Handling lithium batteries

Store protected from moisture
Keep out of reach of children
Do not heat above 100 °C
Do not short-circuit
Do not open or damage
Do not charge

The battery may only be connected during regular operation. Deep discharge due to persistent error states, e.g. if the device is unable to establish a connection for long periods of time, must be avoided.

Replacing lithium batteries

Batteries may only be replaced by qualified personnel. The connector plug only fits in one position to ensure correct polarity installation. Therefore, do not apply excessive force when plugging in.

Caution: Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same type or an equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer.

Emergency instructions for accidents involving lithium batteries

The following instructions must be observed in emergencies:

- Cover with sodium carbonate or a similar crystallised soda - Precipitate gases, vapours by atomising water - Ensure adequate ventilation - Avoid any direct contact	- If internal components of the dry element come into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes. - In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of water and remove contaminated clothing. - After inhalation, remove from the scene. - In any case, you should consult a doctor!	- Use a Lith-X or Class D fire extinguisher! - NEVER EXTINGUISH WITH WATER! - Do not use CO2, halogen, fire extinguishers with dry substances or foam fire extinguishers! - After inhalation, remove from the accident site and ventilate. - In any case, you should consult a doctor.
